Origins

Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate Do Shobukan traces its roots back to the rich martial arts heritage of Okinawa, Japan. This distinguished style was founded by Master Chojun Miyagi, a legendary figure in martial arts history. Goju Ryu, meaning “hard-soft style,” blends powerful, linear movements with circular, flowing techniques. This balanced approach emphasizes both strength and flexibility, making it a comprehensive method for self-defense and personal development. The term “Shobukan,” which translates to “house of the way of training,” reflects our dedication to upholding and imparting the traditional methods and core values of Goju Ryu Karate.

Our dojo is committed to honoring the legacy of Goju Ryu by fostering an environment of discipline, respect, and excellence. Every student at O.G.K.S INDIA Karate School is encouraged to embody these principles, connecting them to the timeless wisdom and practices of Okinawan Karate. Our training programs are designed to develop not only physical skills but also mental resilience and character.
